Photography Classes at the Garage

Shoot Your Own Movies, Make Your Own Popcorn June 25 & 29, 2012

This seminar and workshop will be conducted by Dondi Narciso.  It is intended for those who wish to learn how to use the DSLR to capture videos, edit the footage into a short film, music video, or what not, and make lot's of money in the process.



The seminar is scheduled for June 25 & 29, 2012 from 6:30pm-9:30pm.

The schedule of topics to be discussed is as follows:

June 25 (630pm-930pm):

  • Basic DSLR Video Principles
  • Basic DSLR Controls and Settings for Filmmaking
  • Basic Frame Composition, Lighting, and Camera Movement
June 29 (630pm-930pm):
  • Basic Editing Using Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Workshop Proper
  • Critique and Review

The seminar fee of P6,000.00/participant is inclusive of a certificate of attendance.

There are only twenty (20) slots available.

Lighting With Impact (A Product Photography Workshop)  July 7, 2012

Lighting With Impact is a product photography workshop that will be conducted by Cesar Caina.  It will be held on July 7, 2012; 8:00 am - 4:00 pm.

Cesar Caina will demonstrate how to shoot a variety of products (i.e. jewelry, bottles, etc.) using a combination of studio strobes and light painting.

This is a hands-on workshop.  All participants are required to use DSLRs and must have knowledge of basic photography.

The seminar fee of P5,500/participant is inclusive of meals, snacks and a certificate of attendance.

There are only fifteen (15) slots available.

A 50% downpayment (non-refundable) will be required to secure a reservation.





Fast Food Basics (Part I) - Food Styling and Food Photography July 21, 2012

Learn the basics of food styling and photographing salads and pasta.

Chef Pixie Sevilla will conduct a lecture and live demo of food styling techniques.  Those attending the seminar may participate in the demo.

A hands on photo session to be supervised by Jo Avila will follow to teach participants basic food photography.

The workshop will be held on July 21, 2012; 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm.

The workshop fee is P6,000/participant is inclusive of handouts and a certificate of attendance.

Eye Candy (Basic Post Processing Workshop) August 4, 2012

Eye Candy is a basic post processing workshop which will be taught by Ax Briones.

This will be held on August 4, 2012, 9am - 4pm.

Participants will be taught how to create their own basic workflow for post processing by learning how to use some of the basic tools of Adobe Photoshop like the History, Spot Healing and Healing Brushes, Move, Marquee, Lasso, Dodge and Burn Tools.

The exposure and color adjustment tools of Levels, Curves, Hue/Saturation, Color Balance and the Photo filters will be explained.

Non-destructive editing will be emphasized while showing how to use layers, adjustment layers and layer masks.

Basic retouching techniques for skin smoothening, crystal eyes and image sharpening will also be discussed.

The seminar fee of P5,500.00/participant is inclusive of lunch, snacks, handouts and a certificate of attendance.
