Part-time Assistants Needed for May Workshop

Every year, the Garage, together with the East Asian Pastoral Institute, holds its Social Communications in Pastoral Ministry workshop. This month-long event aims to teach priests, nuns and lay people how to use media as a tool in their ministries and reaching out to the people. A good portion of this workshop involves teaching them how to use different multimedia skills and applications, such as blogging and basic graphic design.



In line with this we are looking for part-time assistants who can help out during the workshop. They will provide assistance to the instructor during the practical application part of the lecture. The assistants must be familiar with any of the following: Basic Photography, Basic Graphic Design, Basic Desktop Publishing, Basic Video Editing and Basic Web Design. Familiarity with the following applications are preferred but not required: GIMP, Inkscape, Scribus, Wordpress and Windows Movie Maker.
